Junior Sign Fitter/Installer

We are looking for a Junior Sign Installer to join our friendly, professional team at Signs Express (Manchester) to help us safely and effectively install a wide and exciting range of signage solutions to the highest of standards.

The perfect candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude, be able to maintain our high standards of workmanship and quality, be self-motivated and be willing to learn. The individual will ideally have knowledge, understanding, and experience in the Graphics and Signage industry to be able to understand and assist our Senior installer with the installation of a range of interior and exterior graphic and signage solutions.

• Location: Signs Express (Manchester), Unit 43 Stretford Motorway Estate, Barton Dock Road, Trafford Park, Manchester M32 0ZH
• Salary: £23,000 to £25,495 dependent on experience
• Working Hours: Full-time position, Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm
• Travel: A full driving licence is essential for travel

Duties Include:

• Support the Senior Installer to safely and effectively install various types of graphics and signage, including illuminated, non-illuminated, fascia, post-mounted and internal signage at client sites across the local area.
• Alongside the production team, prepare and assemble signs before installation, ensuring all components are correctly fabricated and ready for installation.
• Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements, measure spaces, and identify any potential challenges.
• Following all company procedures and guidelines to ensure all signs are created/fitted safely and securely.
• Ensuring Risk Assessments and Method Statements are understood.
• Ensure all installations are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations, including the safe use of ladders, scaffolding, lifting equipment and working at height.
• Taking responsibility for your own and others’ health and safety when working.
• Providing outstanding customer service to our clients and others at all times.
• Assisting in-house production staff when required.
• On occasion there may be the requirement to work out of hours e.g. weekends, nights, or early mornings.
• On occasion this role may require you to undertake installations nationwide, which may mean overnight stays (in paid for accommodation).

What we would like from you:

• A minimum of one years' industry knowledge with an understanding of a wide range of signage solutions.
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, with an understanding of electrical work relating to illuminated signage.
• A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
• IPAF/PASMA/CSCS/FIRST AID accreditations desired but not essential.
• Experience in using various PC graphics and production programmes would be an advantage.
• Must be comfortable and competent working at height, with appropriate training and certification.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems on-site efficiently.
• High level of attention to detail, ensuring all installations are completed to the highest standard.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• The ability to interpret briefs accurately.
