Signs Express (Manchester) lights up the Manchester skyline
As a regular customer of ours, we were delighted to hear from Bright HR again and to be given the chance to work with them on another great project. With a brief to create a fully illuminated ‘BrightHR.com’ sign on the 9th floor of their head office in Manchester we were excited to come up with a bespoke solution to showcase their brand and create a visually striking piece of signage to be seen by all their clients.
Our brief was clear, our client required large individual letters which were to be illuminated and internally mounted behind their glazing. Furthermore, each letter needed to have interchanging colours to make it as eye-catching as possible and also be seen from a distance over the Manchester skyline.
Illuminated signage is a great way to make you stand out from the crowd, especially effective at night and in the winter months, it’s a great way to show professionalism, attract customers, increase your visibility and bring your brand to life.
Using the knowledge and expertise of our team, we came up with the idea of having individual built up letters with RGB interchangeable colours, each with its own controller to create a show-stopping effect. In creating the letters, we built-up rim and return metal fabricated letters, mounted on bespoke stand frames, these were all powder coated white with RGB internal mounted LEDs and separate controllers. In order to fit the brief, we found a way these could be manufactured to be individually free standing and installed inside the glazing as required.
As with all projects we had our challenges such as planning permission requirements for fixing the framework to the floor plus coming up with ways to link the wire to each letter through the floor void. With a great team in place, we overcame the issues and were thrilled to deliver to time and budget.
Seeing the completed project, and the impact and visual effect the sign has made, has captured the attention of the team and clients at Bright HR and it’s been great to follow the social activity around it, including a competition for their staff, based on who can take the best photo of the sign for a little fun!
From the initial meeting Adam, our Senior Accounts Supervisor embraced what Bright HR were trying to achieve with the new signage, he worked closely with the customer in terms of what they wanted the sign to portray and achieve. With a consultative approach in terms of the design and ideas all the way through the process, we worked within a budget and delivered the sign on time. The install wasn’t easy, requiring a lot of time and effort from both Dan and Ged our internal fitters, however the team did an amazing job and is definitely one we’re proud of.
