Wayfinding Signage for Bath Spa University

Bath Spa University contacted Signs Express Bath to produce much needed wayfinding signage to make their main house building more accessible for students and staff. Whilst conducting the site survey, it was apparent that there were very limited wayfinding signs, make the building extremely difficult to navigate around.

The client wanted signs that would not only be clear and informative but also be in keeping with their brand colours. As with all projects, the Signs Express Bath team worked with the brand guidelines to produce artwork proofs and this was signed off by the client before any signs were manufactured.

The signs were all appropriately sized to create the most impact in the building – most of them being large signs due to the large size of the building itself. It was very important that the signs didn’t go unnoticed and therefore the Bath Spa striking blue was used with the contrasting white lettering for easy reading. There was also colour used for certain signs to highlight eating spaces, encouraging students to use the Main House areas to get snacks and drinks.

All signs were designed, produced, and installed by the Signs Express Bath team, with one of our favourites being a jungle themed wall mural. We are so pleased that students and staff can now access the building with ease and the team have had lots of compliments on the overall look.
