Signs Express (Lancaster) was announced as winner of the Best Individual Sign award at the Signs Express Awards Ceremony held on Friday 28th November at the Nottingham Belfry hotel. For the first time ever, the awards were voted for by the franchisees, making this a true reflection of the sign maker's talent.
This year, Signs Express was celebrating their 25th year and so the convention was as much a celebration as a conference. Welcoming franchisees from their 70 centres across the UK and Ireland, the convention was a huge success, celebrating past achievements and looking towards the future. The blind vote for the sign awards took place at lunchtime on the day of the convention with the entries lining one of the walls at the conference. Signs Express (Lancaster) fought off strong competition to with their award which was for the sign they have provided for specialist joinery company Lignify. The end client was Farjo hair institute who required a prestigious high impact entrance sign which fits their professional image. The stunning sign was constructed from built up stainless steel letters with flexi LED for halo illumination. Signs Express managing director Craig Brown commented: 'This really was a striking and eye catching sign, and whilst there was strong competition from other centres, Signs Express (Lancaster) very much stood out in this category, a well-deserved win!' Signs Express (Lancaster), ideally located on Lake Enterprise Park on Caton Road, is owned by Thomas and Anne Somers. The centre opened in December 2002 and offers a full range of signs and graphics solutions to Lancaster and the surrounding area.
