Launched last year by Dame Sarah and Barney Storey, the duo approached Signs Express in Manchester for branding across their support vehicle fleet, following the many years’ work the sign makers had completed for British Cycling and Team Sky and many more cycling teams. The 12-rider team are racing Road, Track, Time trials, Cyclocross and Mountain Bike events across the year and the car graphics are an important part of developing Storey Racing’s brand presence. The attention-grabbing vehicle livery includes the hashtag #BestVersionOfYou which personifies the team’s mentality and seeks to inspire everyone around them to be the best they can be. The striking Storey Racing logo also features a heartbeat at the centre, depicting the effort and centre of the person striving for their own best performance. With some of the UK’s leading riders on the team, Storey Racing knew they had to take advantage of the wide audiences seeing their vehicles and use them as a mobile advertisement to help grow their brand. They looked to the dedicated sign making team to help deliver a high impact and professional car graphics solution for their support vehicles. Business owner, Lee Eaton explains, “The passion and drive shown by Dame Sarah and Barney Storey is incredible and I was excited to be involved as a supply partner and sponsor. It is also more difficult for women in cycling to get the same support as the male counterpart, so we want to show our ongoing support to the ladies’ team. The team’s brand is becoming very recognisable now and I have no doubt we’ll see them grow into one of the leading teams in cycling.” Signs Express Manchester recently celebrated its 20th year in business and employs over 20 people from its custom designed production centre in Trafford Park.
