Newcastle based signs and graphics company, Signs Express (Newcastle), has recently been recognised as a finalist for Best Exterior Sign at the national sign company’s annual awards evening.
The finalist recognition was awarded to the expert sign makers for their prestigious signage project for Northumberland’s Fire and Rescue Service Breathing Apparatus Centre. Adam Greaves, owner of the leading sign company said, “I am delighted to receive this award recognition and it was a privilege to be commissioned to complete the project. We created an exact match to the Breathing Apparatus Centre to ensure the aluminium tray sign fitted seamlessly to the fabric to the building. Brushed stainless steel lettering and the service crest completed the sign.” As the training facility is in active use, Signs Express (Newcastle) had to consider the impact of heat on the longevity of the signage. They concluded to use stand-off spacers to fix the lettering to the aluminium tray sign, ensuring air is able to circulate around the different elements of the signage and disperse the heat generated when the container is operational.
The award win comes as the well-known sign company celebrates its first anniversary in business at their production centre in Cramlington. Signs Express is the UK’s leading sign company with over 65 centres across the UK and the award was voted by the nationwide network. Signs Express (Newcastle) has experienced sign makers in-house at their custom production centre and provide a wide variety of signs and graphics for businesses from interior and exterior signs to shop signs and everything in between.
