Our Work
Serving Northampton's community with Vaccination Centre signage
The COVID-19 vaccination has arrived in Northampton and from this week, the local community will begin to benefit from it at the King’s Heath Health Centre.
Signs Express (Northampton) were honoured to be asked to supply signs and graphics for the Vaccination Centre that will serve the town. With less than a week from the initial phone call to the strict deadline for getting everything completed, and it being December, there were only eight hours of daylight to play with, so everything had to be organised meticulously. There were two parts to the job: • Large external signs outside the existing King’s Heath surgery. • Directional signage to help patients move on the estate, to the car park and to walk to surgery. Our brief was to help people get in and out in a way that allowed the surgery to continue its normal activities alongside its status as a Vaccination Centre. A site survey was undertaken within a couple of hours of the enquiry coming in and the subsequent quotation and artwork was confirmed within 24 hours as Signs Express and the Midland Medical Company worked very closely to move the job forward. There was then a final walk of the site to ensure the directional signage taking patients to the car park and then back to the surgery was correct. Everything was then printed and manufactured in a day.
Mark Meadowcroft, Managing Director of Signs Express (Northampton) commented: “We were very honoured to be given this commission. We had to specify a job that could be completed within the time frame we had and we used graphics that had been designed by our franchisor as a starting point for the artwork, which we then customised and localised. This definitely saved time. We then concentrated on the manufacture and practicalities of fitting. To see it finished is deeply satisfying and gives us a ray of hope for 2021, both personally and commercially.”
