Litton Properties
Litton Properties, a property management firm based in Bakewell, Derbyshire, approached us with a request to update the visual identity and navigation within their Riverside Works Business Park. The project involved the design, manufacture, and installation of five wayfinding signs and six projecting signs for various businesses within the park. Our goal was to deliver signage that not only aligned with their brand guidelines but also improved the ease of navigation and visibility for visitors and tenants.

Project Objectives and Challenges
Our aim was to improve wayfinding within the business park to assist visitors and tenants in easily locating different businesses. We were also tasked with providing businesses within the park with projecting signs that improved their visibility and brand presence. Finally, we wanted to ensure all signage reflected Litton Properties' brand guidelines.
Litton Properties required signage that would integrate with the existing look and feel of the business park while being durable.
Design and Planning
Our first step was to collaborate closely with Litton Properties to fully understand their brand, which included specific fonts, colours, and logo placement requirements. We conducted a site survey to assess the best locations for the wayfinding and projecting signs, considering factors such as visibility, foot traffic, and natural light exposure.
Wayfinding and Projecting Signs
The design of the five wayfinding signs was designed to be clear and easy to read, with a modern design that complemented the existing architecture of the business park. The signs were strategically placed at key junctions within the park to guide visitors and tenants efficiently.
The six projecting signs were designed with individual business identities in mind while still adhering to the overarching brand guidelines of Litton Properties. The projecting signs featured bold typography and materials that provided durability and a sleek finish.
Manufacturing and Installation
Once the designs were approved by Litton Properties, we created the wayfinding signs using weather-resistant aluminium with a powder-coated finish, ensuring they remain rust-free and retain their colour vibrancy.
The installation process was carefully coordinated to minimise disruption to the businesses within the park. Each wayfinding sign was placed according to the pre-determined plan.
Outcome and Conclusion
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The completed signage met all the objectives outlined by Litton Properties. The wayfinding signs now guide visitors and tenants effectively, reducing confusion. The projecting signs have increased the visibility of the business.
This project was a successful collaboration between our team and Litton Properties, resulting in signage that not only meets the practical needs of wayfinding and visibility but also strengthens the brand identity of the business park.
