Top marks for new school signs
When Mill Hill School became Ripley Academy over the summer, it needed a fresh new look for the new school term; so called on signs and graphics experts Signs Express (Derby) to help.
The modern new signage used large aluminium tray signs with graphics depicting the school's crest emblem and individually cut letters spelling the new school name across the main entrance building. In addition, panel and post fitted directional entrance signs act as a way-finding solution, welcoming visitors and students to the establishment. A reception sign helps guide visitors and prevent them from entering restricted areas. The school has completely rebranded, with a strong new professional image reflected in its school crest emblem and silver effect signage. A wide range of directional signs were also fitted on the various buildings at the academy along with car parking signs, public liability and gate safety information signage. Michael Davison, Ripley Academy said, 'We have been very impressed with the overall service, quality and value for money received from Signs Express Derby. We received excellent advice, our replacement signage looks great and the project was completed on time. From the first site meeting to the last day of installation we have received a very professional service. ' Steve Jarvis, director of Signs Express (Derby) commented, 'It was a delight to work on such a comprehensive project for the Ripley Academy. With a new name and academy status, it is important their image is reflective of the prestige associated with being an academy and the signage really helps lift the educational premises.' Signs Express (Derby) has been established for over 15 years and operates from custom designed premises in Sinfin Lane, Derby.
