Signs Express (Aberdeen) welcomes a new owner this month after Olive Hamilton took over the reins of the successful business.
Opened in 1996 by Jim Gifford, Signs Express (Aberdeen) has built up an enviable reputation in the area and is part of the UK and Ireland's largest signs and graphics franchise. Jim recently decided to sell on the business to Olive to enable him to concentrate more on his political career. The re-sale of Signs Express (Aberdeen) appealed to Olive as she's had previous experience of managing her own, successful business and she was able to see the potential of the long established sign company. Olive said, 'With a long history in Aberdeenshire, Signs Express has an excellent reputation and a solid customer base so I was very interested in taking on the opportunity. I could see the vast potential of signs and graphics as every organisation uses them. In a recently held survey*, 98% of people said that they believe signs and graphics give a positive first impression to a business. In addition, our survey indicated that 77% would prefer to buy locally from suppliers – excellent for my business as we are locally based but have the back up of a national brand for nationwide requirements.' (*Signs Express independent survey May 2014, 1000 people questioned). 'With experienced staff in place, and a fully equipped production unit I'm eager to work with new and our loyal existing customer base as I invest in new equipment and aim to grow the business.' As professional sign makers, Signs Express (Aberdeen) supply and fit; vehicle graphics, exterior and interior signs, window graphics, exhibition displays, banners, labels and stickers and health and safety compliant signage. They have all the necessary equipment, including a dedicated vehicle bay for applying graphics, to ensure a swift turnaround from initial quote through to final production and installation.
