new fleet graphics for Caledonian Tyres
Caledonian Tyres are a long-standing and valued customer of Signs Express (Glasgow), having worked closely together for a number of years.
So, when they asked if we wanted to help with branding their entire new fleet of vehicles, we of course said yes! And were excited to take on this latest challenge.
As an experienced supply partner, we understand the importance of keeping your on-brand message on the road and how, in this respect, the strength of your brand relies on the confidence you have in your suppliers to deliver a consistent national service.
We kicked off this project by covering their new Mercedes Actros Truck, for which the design would be the basis for the rest of the fleet. Due to the size of the truck, it wouldn’t fit inside our vehicle bay so we had to send our experienced fitters to site to apply the graphics at the customer’s location.
So far to date we have worked on a total of 7 vehicles and counting – from partial wraps to full wraps and a mix of vehicle models from Ford Transit Customs to Jumbos.
Some of the vehicles had to be stripped of existing graphics to be changed to the new look. Most of the vehicles that required a full wrap were originally a different colour and as per the clients request, all had to be white to fit with the new branding.
We also applied Chapter 8 chevrons where they were required to meet health and safety regulations. Vehicles stopping to work on public roads must comply with Chapter 8 regulations, including fluorescent yellow and retro-reflective red markings to the rear or sides.
Increasingly aware of the environmental impact of the signage industry, we chose to use eco-friendly materials wherever we could for the vehicle graphics in this project.
