Our Work
Perryfields Primary PRU Superheroes
As the winner of the Worcestershire Primary School of the year award 2019, Perryfields PRU approached Signs Express Worcester for help with a joint project involving both staff and pupils.
The design and sign making project was inspired by their vision of inspirational images that the children felt connected to, and was a joint venture from start to finish. The school staff had an idea to create superhero images to reflect key qualities the children could aspire to, including ‘Reflective’, ‘Curious’, ‘Collaborative’, ‘Resilient’ and ‘Independent’, so the Signs Express Worcester team designed fun and colourful cartoon characters. Once the images were created we went back to the school for their verdict, and after completing a few tweaks requested by the children, the project was underway. We brought the superheroes to life in various locations around the school, including a 1500mm x 500mm Foamex panel on an interior wall, five 420mm x 594mm panels along an external walkway, and five 825mm x 1225mm cut outs on their play area fence. We are very proud of the results which speak for themselves. Perryfields PRU Headteacher, Pete Hines, commended the project by saying: “Thank you and your team so much for all of the signs. Sarah and I are delighted with how the learning power superheroes look. The children are back tomorrow and I’m sure the signs will have a massive impact. Great working with you guys.” It was a wonderful project to be involved in, from inspirational signs to inspired teamwork.
