Wolseley UK is one of the UK's leading suppliers of construction products and materials and had very specific requirements:

• to create bespoke graphics
• for the 80 trailers to be completed within two months
• minimal impact on trailer availability
• Signs Express (Worcester) to largely manage the project with the aid of Wolseley UK staff as required

The logistics of each trailer's movement had to be taken into consideration and so after an initial appraisal it was decided that most of the graphics could be applied at the Worcester Distribution Centre (DC) during normal working hours and Saturdays. In addition Signs Express (Worcester) applied graphics to approximately 25% of the trailers at Wolseley UK's DC's in Melmerby, North Yorkshire and Milton Keynes. Each trailer had different requirements with designs coming from three design agencies for three different adverts. There were several configurations of trailer with the different adverts. Once it was decided which images were to go on which trailer, a stock of graphics were printed using Metamark MD3A-B block out vinyl. This allowed for a faster and easier application by providing air with an exit route under the graphic. It also blocked out graphics that were already on the trailer, thus avoiding the cost and time for existing graphic removal. The application of the decals began on 20th November and slight modifications to the designs were carried out as required on site to suit each trailer. Despite the two week Christmas close down, the transformation of the mobile adverts on the trailers was completed on the17th January 2014.
