Our Work
ABP City Cruise Terminal
When the ABP City Cruise Terminal required a suite of new signage, they called upon the expertise of Signs Express (Southampton) to complete the job.
The project brief was a complete replacement of over 200 signs at the terminal which needed to be created and installed within an eight week schedule. The Southampton sign makers set to work, pulling out all the stops to meet deadlines and also work within the careful scheduling necessary at the port. As City Cruise Terminal is a working terminal, the team had to ensure the signs were installed on days when no ships were in port for installation. With such a big project in progress, Signs Express (Southampton) called on their neighbours to allow for extra storage space and worked with additional staff from another Signs Express centre to meet deadlines, making sure that no other customers would be affected. The project was a great success and the port is looking fantastic following the installation of its new signage. In 2007 ABP invested over £9 million in an extensive programme of refurbishment and upgrade to the City Cruise Terminal. This investment enables the terminal to accommodate some of the largest cruise vessels afloat. Today you will regularly see such cruise vessels as Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas & Adventure of the Seas, Celebrity Eclipse, Fred Olsen's Black Watch and the Saga Ruby and Saga Pearl II sailing from this bespoke terminal. Signs Express (Southampton) are proud to provide high quality signage and sign-related services to the local area, serving Southampton, Romsey, Eastleigh and Winchester. The centre offers local companies and organisations a comprehensive and professional sign service which covers both design and manufacture of various internal and external signage.
