Our main attraction was the freestanding illuminated logo which stood at 2.3m high x 1.8m wide. The impact of the sign was instant as passengers walked through the cruise terminal which gained a hugely positive response. We had to come up with a solution to make the word “Celebrity” float above the rest of the sign. We decided to use 10mm acrylic with the text etched and illuminate it from the edge. The sign also needed to be easy to dismantle and move as there was a complex schedule with other cruise operators using the terminal. The top half of the sign simply lifts and divides the sign into 2 pieces. It meant we could easily remove the sign and replace it when needed. The sign was also illuminated on both sides. The sign has an aluminium sub frame and powder coated aluminium returns and it is illuminated using 6000 Kelvin LED’s to give a nice bright white light, as the client was very keen to avoid the lighting looking too warm. As well as our main attraction, we also designed 80 Foamex Signs, 20 window graphics, 20 roller banners, 24 gloss posters and 19 projecting banners/flags.
