Taylor's Cards

Previously a large Clinton Cards store, based in Loughton, Essex it was planned for closure as part of the rationalisation plans of US parent company American Greetings. Kevin, who had been the store manager for the last 12 years decided to take on the challenge and open his own store. Needing to stamp his own identity on the shop but with little knowledge of signage, Kevin was recommended to contact Signs Express in Harlow by the Clinton Cards head office (also in Loughton). Working to minimise costs but maximise effect Signs Express came up with a sophisticated design which would utilise some of the existing fascia fittings. Extending to 3 metres long, the aluminium fascia partially curved was powder coated to the required colour, the name Taylors Cards being stencil cut and backed with blue acrylic. This was fabricated to fit the existing backtray and light box.
