Trays signs are a modern affordable way to create signage of all sizes. With a tray sign you can achieve a lightweight but strong sign which out performs traditional frame and panel signs.
We manufacture our trays from 3mm thick aluminium composite which is perfect for tray signs. This material is comprised of a plastic core faced on both sides with aluminium. All our trays sign are precision machined on site using top quality and well maintained machinery. Using specialised tooling we score fold lines into a flat sheet of aluminium composite these allow the material to be folded into a tray. Corners are built into the composite sign trays using a special lapped joint technique. We ensure that your product is accurate and fits neatly in the required space. Tray signs can be enhanced with digitally printed graphics, cut vinyl, stand off lettering or fret cut with LED illumination. Benefits:
- Easy to install and light weight.
- Less prone to wind damage.
- Extremely durable.
- Sleek and modern in appearance.
- Made to your specification.
- Versatile for various types of graphics.
Illuminate your tray: Turn your tray sign into an effective LED illuminated sign! We can cut shapes and letters out of your tray sign (Fret cutting), this then allows us to illuminate through these openings. Acrylic lettering can be applied to fill the cut out areas and once LED’s are placed behind the acrylic the lettering will light up in the colour of the acrylic. Advantages of using LEDs: Running costs - LED modules use very small amounts of power which save on energy costs, because of their energy efficiency they are more environmentally friendly too. They also eliminate the need of tube replacements. No heat build up - LED based sign trays run much cooler unlike fluorescent tubes and neons which can generate significant heat during operation. Easier installation due to less weight - LED illuminated tray signs use a much lighter, compact light source therefore the weight is much reduced which makes handling easier and places less stress on the fabric of the building. Safe low voltages - LED illuminated tray signs run safely at only 12v DC. Digitally printed or cut vinyl applied to your tray: Digitally printed vinyl is ideal if you require a full colour print applied to your tray sign or ‘Cut vinyl’ shapes and letters can be cut out of pre-coloured sheets of vinyl, this is usually used for large areas of solid colour, solid type and graphics. A wide range of colours are available for you to choose from. The returns (side edges) on your tray sign can also be wrapped if required. Add stand off lettering to your tray: We can offer different types of stand off lettering from acrylic, PVC through to stainless steel and wood. These materials can be used to create free standing letters or logo shapes which use the thickness of the sheet material to provide a 3D effect, all of which can be expertly applied to your tray sign. Stand off letters can be used on both exterior and interior signs and custom coloured or paint finished if required. Metal letters We offer many different types of metal letters such as stainless steel, aluminium, brass and copper. Plastic letters Acrylic (commonly known as Perspex) letters are available in virtually any colour or finish. If back lighting is required a suitable acrylic will need to be selected as not every colour can be back lit. Foam PVC lettering is a low cost solution to lettering projects. Available in a small range of colours and thicknesses Foam PVC lettering is great for internal display and many external projects. Foam PVC can be painted to any RAL or Pantone finish including metallic finishes too. Foam PVC is a perfect alternative to painted MDF lettering. Foam PVC letters are lighter and stronger than MDF they are also weatherproof. MDF and wood letters MDF and wooden substrates offer a wide range of sheet thicknesses which are ideal for creating inexpensive 3D lettering. These can be painted to the colour required.
