Paul and Lynda Heywood, owners of Signs Express (Harlow), picked up the award for the work their team did for Alibi soft drinks and the launch of ‘What A Melon’ melon water.

What a Melon vehicle wrap

The category for best vehicle graphics had tough competition, but Paul and Lynda beat Signs Express (Gateshead) and Signs Express (Lancaster), who were named as finalists, to win top prize. whilst they got finalist positions. The pair were awarded their prize by renowned comedian and TV personality Stephen K. Amos, who hosted the awards alongside Craig Brown, Managing Director of Signs Express. The winners of the Sign Awards were voted for by the network of expert sign makers. The project by Harlow required the centre’s 3M trained technicians to work meticulously with 3M wrapping technologies to completely transform the vehicle. The whole design covers all sides and the roof converting the white VW transporter van into a huge moving watermelon to launch the new challenger brand by Alibi Drinks. The tricky project, but visually stunning finish, is well deserving of the award and Paul Heywood was ecstatic that their team was recognised at the annual awards ceremony. “Although this is what our team are trained to do, this project was particularly tricky and had to be executed perfectly for the big launch of the brand. We are so proud of the work we have done and it is truly amazing to be voted a winner by other sign makers who understand the expertise that goes into a project such as this.”
